Frequently Asked Questions

What file format do I need?

PDF only. Fonts must be embedded and the PDF version must be 1.4 or higher.

What resolution should my images be?

Minimum 220 DPI. 300 DPI is recommended for the best results, especially for image-heavy pages.

Do I need to add bleed or crop marks?

No. Our print partner adds bleed and crop marks automatically. Do not add them yourself.

What colour profile should I use?

RGB. CMYK files are accepted but automatically converted to RGB.

Single pages or double-page spreads?

Single pages only. Double-page spreads are not accepted.

Which page becomes the cover?

Page one of your PDF is printed as the front cover.

How many pages can my book have?

At least 20 pages, up to 500.

Can I order just one copy?

Yes. No minimum order. One copy or ten thousand — same quality either way.

How long does printing and shipping take?

Depends on your location. Your book is printed at the facility closest to you and shipped from there.

What book formats are available?

Softcover, hardcover, and layflat books in various sizes. You choose at checkout.

What if there's a problem with my printed book?

We print your PDF exactly as uploaded, so the finished book reflects your file. It's your responsibility to check the print requirements and make sure your PDF is print-ready before ordering. Problems caused by the uploaded file — low-resolution images, a missing or blank cover, layout or text errors — aren't refundable. But if a book is faulty because of a printing error, or is lost or damaged in transit, we'll reprint it — just contact us.
